Election Results Are In! (Ottawa) R.B. Bennett’s Conservative Party smashed Mackenzie King’s Liberals, scoring a total of 134 seats. For the Conservatives, this means an increase of 43 seats from the previous election.
After fifteen years of a minority government, the R.B. Bennett and his Conservatives have moved forward and secured the majority.
And The New Gov't Is... (Ottawa) Mackenzie King nearly doubles his seats in Parliament! His popular vote also increases by 0.65%.
This is Mackenzie King’s fourth time holding the position of Prime Minister, which is largely due to his past coalition with the Progressive Party, a few clever moves and sheer luck, and this is his largest victory yet. |
