THE REGINA PATS WIN THE MEMORIAL CUP!
Some date, 1930

(Regina) The third victory for the Regina Pats and the first win under their new name came last night in Winnipeg . They defeated the West Toronto Nationals in the first game 3-1 and, last night, defeated them again 3-2, winning the necessary two out of three games. The games were a smashing success and the fan support in the stadiums was fantastic.

Coach and manager Al Ritchie was very excited about this win. He says that is very satisfying for both him and his team. Gordon Pettinger, the team’s captain, was just as ecstatic.

“We’re all proud of Ken Moore for scoring that goal,” he told the Leader-Post shortly after their victory.
